*..::2A Class Gathering::..*
had our class gathering on Tuesday 5 Nov 2002, from 5pm to 9pm. met ho ying at her place and her parents drove us to the Bayshore [think it should be amaria's uncle's place]. didn't go up to any apartment/unit. we just spent all the time either at the bbq pit or the club house...or the toilet. hahz..at first we heard from euodia that the toilet was quite nice, so ho ying, siti and i went to check it out. also brought my camera along. soon after we've stepped in, i took up my cam and started to take a photo. wah..then the hand dryer right opposite us reacted all of a sudden! gave us quite a shock...didn't expect it to be so sensitive to the flash!

the bbq pit had a shelter, but i guess the building's quite old liaoz...cos everywhere i stood was dripping! so yar..i ended up with lots and lots of water droplets on my blouse. then had some curry stains too. maybe the water dripped and splurted the curry from my plate onto me i guess.

spent most of the time at the club house towards the end of the gathering. some of our classmates danced what they did during the Teachers' Day concert, while the prefects put up a dance which they learnt at the Synapse Camp. also had our 2A cake...which was shaped into 2A! [and it tasted delicious kie =Pp]

found out that mrs daisy paul had 3 children when her husband later came carrying a baby. mrs ewa lim came with some curry [heard that she took a taxi there & she was quite early]. then mrs joyce chong and ms sharon quek came too, but at the later part of the evening.

took many photos & had a nice time trying to figure out some poses as i was getting quite "desperate". -hehz- i like the parts where loraine and i posed like stamford raffles while ho ying was in the middle posing as hitler! wahahaz...then there is one part where we posed like that in the hindistani films [poking your head out while your body is hidden behind a pillar or tree]. =D

we were trying to act out a scene of "a marriage proposal" when the teachers [especially sharon quek] was coming along to ask about our arrangement in going back home. mrs lim was thinking of ho ying asking her parents to fetch serene and siti home. hahz..when she asked..serene told her she's living in see mei while siti said pasir ris...out of the way! then ms quek suggested me sitting on top of the car...haha...very farnie...

was helping to clear up [but actually i was more of helping to clear the food] when i saw sharmagne all wet! heard that she & jasmin were playing at the swimming pool...and they pushed each other down. no wonder i didn't really see them in the club house towards the end of it all! ah well...she was qte worried and trying to escape being noticed by mrs lim. [coz the principal, mrs lee, did not allow us to swim that day]

okies...had quite a good fun time that evening. the class gathering was kinda successful & let's see how the photographs would turn out!! =)

food: lots of chicken wings, sausages [the norm as well as the chinese kind], marshmallows, fishballs, & curry with bread

drink: orange juice

*..::Shopping away::..*...hah..thought tat i would be stoning away at home..cos' my mum suddenly suggested going to Raffles MRT when it was about like..2.30pm?? [but i didn't mind] -yea!- bought some clothes there. then we proceeded to J8, after having some peanut soup at the building next to Raffles MRT. woa i guess tat was quite cheap kie..i mean..how can they earn from selling peanut soup with 5 tangyuans for just 2 bucks? ah well..felt tat i had at least done something "productive" for the day? coz i would usually not buy that much stuff. =D

during dinner today, i accidentally swallowed a fish bone. kept trying to cough it out but it was still there. so i then tried to bring it down by continuing to eat. didn't feel at all comfortable as i felt the bone at one time, then thought it went down, but felt it still there again!! and everytime i swallow my food or saliva, it was very uncomfortable. luckily it was small & managed to go down! -phew-

*..::PSL Camp::..*
hmm...decided to start off by talking abt the PSL camp which ended around 4 days ago...it was from 1st to 3rd Nov..started right on the last day of school..here's what happened:

Friday 1/11:
Camp officially started at 4pm. assembled at the AVA theatrette & met our trainers: Mr Ian Tan, Mr Ivan Lim and 2 other ladies who helped around. hahz..heard some pple say he looked like mr mario, pervert. siti thought he looked like the smiley man. got to know our group leaders (senior PSLs) 3 days ago. proceeded to the Emanuel Hall where we spent most of our time for the next 2 days. started off with many icebreakers which were er...qte fun.. and they introduced us the Banana Dance. Mr Ian Tan was quite a good speaker. at least none of us, i guess, fell asleep or complained tat it was boring. so yar..the lessons were made somehow interesting and we kinda enjoyed ourselves.

the senior PSLs had prepared some Night Games for us after dinner. our group's stations were all in the wrong order on the paper, so we run all around the sch, not knowing the exact station we had to go to. so faith had to go check out..and there we were delayed. didn't managed to finish all the games, but at least we enjoyed ourselves.

food for dinner: mashed potato, salad plus some pieces of chicken & barley drink

Saturday 2/11:
slept quite well the night b4. did some stretching at the track and played some games after runnning 2 rounds. everybody had to run an additional round just becoz someone did not admit tat she evolved from squirrel to tree during the game. we proceeded to the E Hall for leadership lessons after our breakfast. agree with someone who said tat the whole camp "was made up of food". hahax. i think it's qte true. first there was breakfast. then workshop training. next to the canteen for some teabreak. go back for lessons. have some games. and soon there would be lunch, and then teabreak again! *there would also be supper at the end of the day! =P*

for lunch, we had to go out on our own as a group with only 10 bucks! how can u be filled with $10 divided among 8 growing teenagers?? we walked from sch to mac's and most of the group had cheeseburger [which cost a dollar each]. wendy & i had french fries instead. [i don't take cheeseburger.] walked around & headed to heartland. we were so tempted by all the food around. but i guess the game was to practise restrain and...integrity?? we took a bus back to sch and geesh! we just came back on time b4 it started pouring qte heavily!

later in the afternoon we had games. there is this one game tat most of us think was grotesque. we had to pass things thru' our sleeves..from one end to the other -- one long balloon, sponge, scrub, brush, soap, egg, banana, ice stick, and after everything, the whole bag on its own! our group was the last to complete this, but everyone cheered us on, & we had fun..yeah..

we also painted our faces in the afternoon b4 going on stage for photo-taking. siti painted most of our faces...qte a gd job. and everyone in our group looked great! -yeah!-

didn't have much time to prepare for our talent time but we quickly came out with a skit. samantha was the small little girl who "went thru' a crisis". siti was the narrator. eileen, jas & me were "the 3 wise men". the whole skit wasn't realli farnie as compared to the other groups, and we tot tat we wouldn't do well....and we didn't expect to win 2nd prize!! hurray!! group C..with zhenhui in it..performed very well..made all the audience laugh. they won first prize...as expected. everyone had a great time tat nite. =D

slept at ard 12.30 tat nite though lights out was at 11.30pm (actually it was meant to be at 11pm but mr tang allowed us to "interact" for another half an hour). our group decided to talk abt some "ghost stories". heard qte alot about our sch, esp the many encounters at the sch museum. there were rumours abt the commerce rm, guzheng rm, pond, AVA theatrette, blahz...some say all schools have all these...the stories sounded qte scary..but i still managed to sleep qte soundly til the next morning...

food for dinner: nasi briyani, some fruits comprising of pineapple, papaya, watermelon (which was qte juicy and sweet) [but not many took them from the table, so our group helped to "clear" some of them =) hahz], lime juice.

Sunday 3/11:
same thing: headed down for the track. ran 3 rounds..again..by the way..we had devotion every morning before we started off the training for the day. the highlight of the day was a sorta scavenger hunt. went all round the sch and the last thing was to find mucus! *grosteque manz* there was some church service going ard in our sch then & we decided to ask from the kids. hahz..but they all ran away. so in the end we jus made do with a piece of tissue paper. [wonder if there was really mucus in it!] getting the mucus took us qte some time, cos' the whole group happened not to have any running nose tat day. but we all managed to get in 5th for this game. jus before breaking camp, we had some "olympic games" -- we used toothpicks for 'javelin', balloons for 'shot put', & paper plates for 'discus'! i took part in the 'javelin' game, but my toothpick didn't go far. hahz. fortunately eileen did quite well and we got 4th for this game, 3rd for both 'shot put' as well as 'discus'.

then we continued to hold up this pail of water with our LEGS and slowly, one by one, remove our shoes/slippers/sandals and then wear them back again. our pail didn't topple [although it almost did once], nor did any drop of water spill out. -hurray!-

to end the camp, we had this catepillar game which sent most of us screaming. our screams were even louder than the sound of the balloons bursting. [can u imagine tat?] the person at the front [we had melissa for our grp..she liked bursting balloons & wasn't the least afraid of them] was in charge of bursting our opponent's balloons from the back of any 'catepillar'. by the end of the game, yar..the 'catepillars' were 'shorten' by a lot. wahah!!

overall, from 6th position on the first day, to 7th on the second day, it was quite an achievement for us to climb up to 4th!
