Friday 17 June 2005: oh my... haha.. had a big laugh(s) after i heard from isabel what ivan and her were discussing. hey.. how could u all think of that?! very funnie eh. lol. anyways, just decided to list some trends that i found out from my quizzie:

1. whoa some ppl actually knew my pri sch cca when i don't remember telling them about it =)
2. for the qn on the least favoured stall in the canteen, it's usually either malay/chi food. heh
3. most of the middle qns were correctly answered =]
4. some ppl were shocked that i have more than 20 soft toys in my room. haha
5. okay i've mentioned about the piano qn in the previous entry. so yups
6. for the activity that i've never tried before.. isa got a shock that the ans wasn't wushu! ahaha.. yea many ppl got it wrong there.. but how did ivan know that it's snorkeling?? lol
7. and for the last qn, my least fav. food would usually get mixed up between almond pudding and grass jelly. heh

oh.. and i didn’t know that ppl could actually kinda “cheat” from qns 1-9?? ..until isa told me just now.. hahah.

Friday 17 June 2005: took the train down to ps at 430 to meet xi ying for pw yesterday. we were supposed to get retail shop owners/staff to complete our surveys. so yup, xi ying started asking this staff standing outside lee hwa and he agreed to do the survey.

then it was my turn for the next round. went forward to this lady outside citygems and she didn't want to oblige cos she said the management ppl was just inside and that she's on duty. neh mind. walked to some sk staff and again i was refused. argghhh. and so xi ying went into the fila shop nearby and my, she's sooo lucky! the lady at the counter was friendly and easily agreed to fill up the form!! ahh. so just before i went into the next target shop, a clothes shop, i told xi ying and isabel [she joined us too after her pw mtg] that both of them can just gimme a slap if i couldn't get the shop keeper to complete the survey for me. and heh, yeah, i was saved! -phew- finally managed to get the first one done! yayers~ hahah.

found that it was much easier to get surveys done from the apparel stores. yups. anyways, we walked about carrefour after everything and found that the stuff there are sooo much cheaper than elsewhere! no wonder isa said that she saw this lady buying dunno-how-many bottles of 1.5 litres of peach tea drink which were sold at only $1!! haha.

then the 3 of us took the bus down to suntec after that. ivan later came and we had dinner at bk. yea.. crapped and stuff. and my oh my.. isa's ____ was leaked out and xy found out about it!! wahahah. well not that we minded her knowing. in fact we even thought of telling her about it some time ago, but i guess we were just too lazy to say lar. yah isa agreed that it was really a LONG story. hahas.

hmms.. just checked my quiz scoreboard. can u believe it? some ppl from my current class scored higher than my friends from my sec sch!! lol. and i realise that some ppl apparently didn't read the qns properly. can tell one lar.. heh. for example: which of the following instruments do i NOT know how to play? most of them very well know that i play the piano, and yet i found that there were many that answered: piano. hahahaha. oh wells.. but thanks to all those who took the time to attempt the quizzie!! ;))

Wednesday 15 June 2005: what can i say.. the "outing" was nearly cancelled, then isa told me i kinda "revived" it. and it was off again, but she changed her mind later since yumin was already at the bus stop. oh wells. typical kinda scenario when it comes to class outings, if u even call 'em "outings".

didn't go in the end. like how could i? it was already 6+ in the evening and everything wasn't yet confirmed. and my family was already having dinner, while i was still settling the whole thing. anyway really couldn't make it already, so the final result – dinner at home. lol.

so yeah, in the end it was yumin isa and ivan who had dinner at parkway’s kfc.

and i realised some things. when some people do not reply, it could mean one of the following:

a) they are simply not interested in the event, they don't wanna go, and they assume that u get wad they mean while u're waiting for everyone's replies.

b) they are trying to "buy time", according to isa, haha

c) or maybe.. they just didn't check their fones? heh

and thanks to all these decision-making thing and waiting for all the replies, i wasted much of my time instead of spending it on more productive work. argh. oh well, seems like many ppl are not interested in all these. wadeva.

Tuesday 14 June 2005: arrived at sch at 1.15 today for the second piano concert rehearsal and just as i opened the door of the pt ming li was also coming out, then she said that she was looking for me. hee. and the next thing was that nat asked me to start the whole thing! like.. how? haha. never really done this before u see.

but anyways, things just got going and mr ku helped to make everyone be attentive to the whole thing. christine and i helped to page turn for the first few pairs, and u could call it a lil' "traumatising" to page turn for aik tio! oh my, his mambo piece was like....? it took me a while before i finally managed to catch up a bit, but by then he had already turned 3 times himself!! oops. it was like going so fast lar, and every time i see him slide his fingers across the keys of the piano (it's really cool to see him doing that while u're sitting right beside him!), i'll be like "woww" inside me and i would get even more lost in the page turning. hahas.

so it's like felt quite bad lar, cos he later page turned for me heh. same for christine when she later helped to page turn for him too. lol. then when my item was over he later told me to let him turn for me, cos sometimes my parts were relatively simpler so i could turn the pages myself. ahahah. okays. thanks! ;)

heh after i played sherilyn was telling me that my piece sounded pro and difficult. lol. good good. =] then mr ku kinda rounded up our rehearsal after that and he said it wasn't up to standard. so he wanted another rehearsal in the hols (nooo!!), but we'd rather have another round today. so yups, and this time round i got christine to page turn for THAT piece! hahas.

well mr ku wanted us to improve on our stage protocol and do it properly the next time. heh. talked to all of us again, and once he mentioned that sometimes we "look like a mouse behind the gigantic trap (the grand pianos)". lol. then he also reminded us about our dress code for the actual concert, wanting us to make sure that our clothes would match with our partners. haha he especially said that christine needed to bear in mind the colour of her outfit, seeing how tanned she was (esp. so after she came back from her sailing trip!). he added, "if u were my daughter i'll just bleach u.." wahahah. oh christine told us that she still felt like she's on the ship and swaying! lol. so i purposely moved a lil' back and forth for her hehee.

anyway claire + ee hiang, nat + me, yan ning + bao wei had our coaching sessions after the rehearsal. past by the canteen before my turn and whoaaa i saw ivan. hahah. mugging. fine. heh after my coaching was done nat and i decided to go outside and use the piano to practise some parts. omg that piano was uber off-key and outta tune! ahhh. it really sounded bad! but neh mind we just practised, and she told me that although it's supa out of tune when people hear it it would actually sound alright! haha.

oh wells, here's another day gone.. may also have class outing tmr? not confirmed yet.. it's always like that, confirmed at the last min. or even cancelled in the end.

and my there's quite a number of stuff to do.. argh. cca’s really taking some of my time!! yea just now i nearly had to plan the coaching schedule, but was told to leave it to christine cos it’s time for her to do her part. then christine said her comp was down so i couldn’t send her stuff. neh mind. at least ming li helped out. thanks loads! and we hafta get some year one to sit in for coaching sessions too. oh my i thought i almost had to do so this thu cos christine can’t make it! phew. and heh, just now i was sms-ing to inform some peeps and stuff until i dunno wad i was talking about!! lol. anyway, if this continues on i really wonder where to squeeze out the time for revision, which i've barely started..

^ anyhow on a delicious note… australian nougats are just sooo yummy! hahas. i can just get supa addicted to ‘em! =P

Sunday 12 June 2005: just watched finish this vcd which my dad bought, heroic duo. the story revolves much around hypnotism and it’s pretty interesting. :) okay this is gonna be a relatively long entry. haha. anyway, friday (10/6) was filled with much activities for me. heh. got to sch at 9am and all the exco peeps were like preparing all the stuff for the vivace competition (jointly organised by rj and vj). went backstage to hang around (hahah) during the first few pieces before i decided to go to the seats. hah when i joined mona and shangqian with the audience i found out that we were sitting at where the 4 judges were supposed to be sitting! hee. but the judges were already seated a few rows back.

went back behind the curtains after the intermission and at times when the backdoor was shut all of us there couldn’t see a single thing! cool. hahas. and so sometimes i actually put forth my hands to feel about! =) just before the second intermission it was nat and sherilyn’s item. oh man i can’t believe it. i was only the page turner and yet i was a lil’ nervy! even ming li said that i appeared to be more anxious that the pair who’s gonna perform! lol.

there were 4 pairs and an 8-hands from vj sent for the competition. also helped to page turn for the 8-hands piece in the second last item. heh i actually brought up with me my hp and carried it together with the score! well you could say that it was “open yet discrete”. hmm. go figure this out. ahaha. so after i placed the book at the piano i pressed “record” on my hp before slipping it into my pocket. hee. hopefully no one saw that! =P

oh well, could only record up to 2.18 mins when the piece was 6.30 mins long. neh mind. at least it was nice seeing that sherilyn and kelvin were keen as they listened to the recording after that. :) as for the prizes, there were 7 to be given out. 1st 2nd 3rd plus 4 consolations. the cons went to nyjc, vjc, rjc and vjc (again. -yay-). pefita & ming li got it and before that pefi was like saying “no one can beat me in terms of mistakes that i made”. lol. ee hiang also told me that she actually missed one whole bar! hahaha. she still managed to win! whoa. okays.

3rd went to vj – mambo by aik tio and kelvin. man you should really see aik tio when he played the song! his fingers slided across the keys of the piano quite a couple of times and he made it look relatively easy! shang qian said that he ever tried doing so, and his fingers actually bled! my. anyhow, 2nd prize went to vj again! woo hoo! congrats to nat and sherilyn!! and as for 1st placing, as expected, it went to keagan and malissa from rj. heard from yanning that he’s really pro, and ivan also said that he was the piano god in vs and yup, he’s proven to be so. yanning later said that she’s convinced that they won. heh. the performance was superb. my we all should have recorded the songs!

anyway, everything concluded well and we had photo-taking and stuff. yups. thanks to all who contributed in a way or so into making the whole thing a success yar. and cheers to all the winners!! ;))

the foodies turned out to be sufficient and even slightly more than enough. heh. ooh as for the éclairs, it was shared among the few of us hahas. then ee hiang was supa excited when she heard that we could have the cheese cake (that we bought) for ourselves. lol. so little wonder that she didn’t eat later when we went for lunch. ahahah.

after that i saw that yanning mona shang qian were heading off to vs. haha decided to tag along and all of us got into mr b. chan’s car and he drove us there. they returned the drinks container back to the canteen hostel and he drove us to parkway where we met up with the rest again. thanks mr chan! heh yanning was like saying that he’s very nice. yea. then at one time in the car she and mona suddenly realised that he looked a lil’ like ah niu! LOL. i had to control my laughter!! wahahah.

ahahah we were quite mischievious to purposely wave at the others from the car as we saw them walking towards parkway! =P hee. lunched there and after that shang qian and i walked two stops as our buses were unavailable from there. heh found out (again) that vs is not really on good terms with st. pat’s. and that our sch prefers dunman high ppl cos many of them came in with their own pure effort?

anyhow i was on the bus to go back to pl, and after some time i saw the street signs of ang mo kio and yio chu kang. oh no, i thought. have i like past the stop? so i decided to alight in any case and pressed the bell. haha man i really felt lucky, cos i actually alighted at the CORRECT stop! thank goodness. :))) so i walked towards the sch and my, it seemed like the road never ends. plus the scorching sun… ahh. hope i didn’t get much darker! finally arrived at the sch and i went into the general office to collect my cert. found that not many ppl from my class had collected theirs yet. and i also saw mrs lee.. she was talking to someone and i was wondering if she’d talk to me otherwise.

oh and i saw sheryl outside the staff room! heh we were a lil’ surprised to see each other there. she was going to meet her friends to set off for their church camp later at night. both of us walked around the sch, and soon charmaine called me and both of us parted and i walked to the micromouse room. it was pathetic lah. i really wonder how they conduct their sessions every week. it was sucha puny room with lil’ ventilation, and with the whole maze set down in it there’s hardly any room to walk around! can also see that it’s quite slack. no wonder emily said that mr low was considering closing up the cca. oh wells.

after some time all the juniors left, while emily charmaine and i walked towards the gate. then vanessa and qiyin plus chue yi joined us. all of us walked to emily’s house which was very near the sch, and there we slacked around and stuff. hahas. dined at her house and whoa, it was sucha spread at the dining table! took several fotos in her room after that and it was really fun!! hahahah. shall upload all of ‘em soon.

oh and we found soooo much candy and sweets in her room! gosh. if you’re locked up in her room u’d be able to survive for months in there! hehe. anyway i really think that there’re many many coincidences. it's a small world after all? like in vj today i saw my pri sch friend who’s sitting beside __? apparently they know one another. then i heard from qiyin that she was in the same orientation group as john? whom i found out yesterday that he’s in ivan’s clique? okays. life's full of coincidence i shall say.

as for yesterday, well you could call it a day filled with sms-ing. can't believe the number of msgs sent and received in the 12 hours.. omg. over sixty i guess??

as for now, waltz from faust has been resounding in my head from time to time… ;)
