hours of tv today. since the start of the afternoon.. *grins* anyways, pe exco attended lee shi mei's piano recital yesterday night at yms. [heh after everything i reached home at nearly 1130.. haha that was so late!] u see her play and u go wow. indeed, she's quite an experienced performer, a pro in playing both the piano and violin, and was even awarded the oberlin conservatory dean scholarship etc etc. whoaa.. she's uberly talented, and u could tell that she had full control of the piano in front of her as well as her fingers. i'm amazed at how she was able to play all 8 pieces (including movements within the pieces) by heart! *wide-eyed*


heee but i was rather tired then so i had to close my eyes [only close] while appreciating the playing for the first few pieces. and lol it was sucha "cold" day yesterday too. pple like yanning esp were laming most of the time. one of the cold jokes include:


1* A: hey _____, where are u now? can u hurry up??

B: i'm still in the bus.. no, i can't hurry..

A: why not?
B: 'cause i'm in Still Road



2* u wanna go mos burger to eat?
can.. we should, all the more, since it's friday today

okayy that's not all by the way.. ahahas. =D ohh after pw the class was bridging as usual. then i joined in to play "first-class pig" with some of them. haha i increased isa's and terry's degree soon after i kenna-ed the first deg. didn't expect 'em to really respond 'cause it was rather random. heee. =P aqs' degree kept escalating and in the end when he hit five deg he had to say aloud "i miss d__ c__!!" as forfeit. lol and wei loong recorded it all down! wahaha..

oh and after watching the repeat telecast of ndp 05 i agree that the cameramen were rather amateur. like for our bollywood item the camera just kept showing fiona xie from one angle only.. i mean there's nothing wrong with it but u can also show the rest of the stage with her still within the screen. and only the ground ppl below the stage [haha i saw u.. =P ] and the few pple around fiona could be seen on tv..

well i think this year's parade show from the tv was quite unique, linking all the 5 areas including the heartlands together across the island. and again, the fireworks were kewl.. u just won't get tired seeing those rays shoot up together and then burst and spread out [either on tv or personally] across the sky in front of u [that's if u're seeing it live and out there].. some of those would wriggle down a lil' before disappearing into the night sky, but i prefer the ones we saw in sydney.. they really writhed quite a distance down after shooting upwards.. yeah. well nonetheless, this year's display was better than the past years'.. yupp. (=

it really feels great to have sucha longg holiday. and i think time just flies during this period of time. first the weekend was gone in a blink of an eye, then monday was spent on our “class outing”. goshh.. what about homework?! aarghh. one word: untouched. can't believe it right.. haha. heh just finished looking thru all the photos taken from all the ycf trainings for blk c as well as those taken for ndp. well as for yesterday, i was having a rather fun day out! and it was somewhat an unusual day for me too..


went to tsc at 230 where everyone had their make-up and stuff done. then we had our one last run-through. haha guan yee was telling me that there was someone who appeared very funny when she shook. heh didn’t notice that all along, until he told me and i saw that during the dance. wahaha i couldn’t stop lol-ing and i think some of the ppl around me were wondering what came over me. i couldn’t control myself that i couldn’t dance properly then! rofl. and he said that wasn’t the most funny one. haha okayy..


so we set off to the open space beside tamp central in the evening in three buses. and there wasn’t enough seats so we had to squeeze. haha. well when we got there [it took only a few mins heh] the place was a day-long carnival, with foodstalls, trampoline bungee station and army static displays. and apparently there were already many items performed before we came.


anyhow our “bollywood stars” item was at ard 8pm, and just before that we saw fiona xie.. haha she was just right beside me and i didn’t take a photo with her. what is this?! xin yi was quick enough [unlike me] to swiftly ask for her photo, stand beside her, and snap. just like how i didn’t manage to have a picture with eunice olsen in eighty-8. oh wells. haha


anyways it’s cool that our item was chosen to go on LIVE on tv. haha we “beat” the golden lions item before ours to do so. heh. well i was on the 3rd tier so i could very well see the screen behind all of us, and it was soo nice to know that we were on tv! ((=


after that everyone was busy taking group photos and stuff. then i caught sight of this guy in front of me who was holding a camera in his hands and it was facing right at me! i was like wondering what he was doing and was rather blur at that time la, when he gave this cheeky grin and “hehehe…”, then snap! omg. what did he just do?! i couldn’t have time to ask him as he quickly walked away. who is this person? well i only saw that he was from the “organising secretariat”, from the words on his black tee.


haha helped to “water plant” today again. so fun! lol yeah u can hire me to be your gardener aye? =D


ooh the fireworks display was superb. u can see so many ppl around u entranced as we all stood outside to catch the three-minute finale that spattered and spangled the clear skies 15 mins before the show ended. yes, it was sensational. liked those colourful ones that burst out apart when they collided with one another. esp those that shot up and wringled down, or had “delayed” disappearance time. yeah indeed, the largest display in the history of the parade was uber kewl. =]


i especially enjoyed this year’s ndp, with the parade held at the padang, marina south as well as three heartland locations at jurong east, tamp and yishun, cos it’s best seeing the celebrations live. even better, performing live. =)))))


and so when we were passing by that guy [who was busy with his stuff on his laptop] when leaving i was suggesting to go right in front of him like what he did to me, and “hehehe” at him before i take his pic. but nahh, i couldn’t bring myself to do so. hahaha.


oh and i only found out that i had forgotten to bring my wallet out till i was waiting for the bus. lol. so i had to borrow money and stuff, and get my dad to fetch me home haha. it’s like going to catch a plane, u bring everything, except that essential passport. *grins*


well the whole ndp thing was indeed a success and ended with a bang i could say.. u guys did well! take care! cheers! ~



haha now there’s bits of glitter found occasionally around me..

by the way, i like this -- smile – a curve that can set a lot of things straight.. yeah, so smile everyone!! =D

Tuesday 9 Aug 2005: happy national day s’pore!!! (= had our national day celebration yesterday, with seven gals from our class ponning sch. so the only three gals were isa rachel n me. haha. well the whole thing was quite normal, as in not that boring either. and there were quite a number of ppl wearing red tees or ethnic costumes. like there was this class where everyone agreed to wear some racial outfit, and some even specially went to buy.

ohh something happened during morning assembly at the parade sq. this morning. heh alvin was telling the whole sch to “pls follow as the national flag rises” [something like that], and halfway up it suddenly dropped! omg. then there were 2 guys next to our row saying stuff like “oh, lost in translation!”. lol. plus more nonsense coming out from ‘em. and later in the hall, when they were announcing the results for the contest where u count the total number of macaroni which made up the national flag on the board, the display flag collapsed! oh my, what’s happening today.. anyway the correct answer was 2011. the class with the closest ans was a51, which counted 2010. haha congrats! oh and there were these two guys we saw who were donning the s’pore airline outfit. okayy s’pore boy. lol.


anyways we lunched at parkway before zm n yumin joined us. from the eleven of us the number dropped to eight when 3 ppl left. then john came along to join us later too. and after some time of deliberation we finally decided to catch a movie at suntec.. only to find that the show for charlie n the choc factory was fully booked. so we walked over to marina sq. and there was a change of the movie to be watched. the truth about love. gahh it was pure mistake. i was wondering most of the time during the show why i was watching it. from the title of it u might prolly reckon it to be a romance story or something, but no.. ah we should have just guessed it from the nc16 rating. hmms.. so we should have just stuck to the original movie. yupp.


walked over to the esplanade after that [perhaps to bring up our level of civility again] and we saw some writings on these canvas, some of which belonged to victorians. hahas. left our “marks” there too and snapped pics, before heading down to old airport rd for dinner. oh well it wasn’t a really lively “class outing”. firstly just look at the number who went for it. then there was the mood. i don’t know what to say.. but i really hope that more ppl can turn up for such outings and be more keen about it and stuff. i'd very much love to have a class where many are enthu about bonding the class as a whole, and have all sorts of ideas up their sleeves for outings together. yeah..
