it was our class bbq yesterday. hmmm what shall i say.. okays. the food was fine. the weather was cool. very comfortable. it was interesting savouring the different concoctions of drinks. playing around at the baby pool was fun. yeah =)

but towards the end of it all the mood got a lil heavier.
maybe for me perhaps.
and a few others? im not too sure.

just got a bit of stuff up my head from then, throughout the journey back home [got home after midnight heh], till after my shower, where all the thoughts came running in. but no, not that i didn't enjoy myself. in fact, i did. it was nice spending time with ya all. just that my brain somehow decided to go into some reflecting mode or something.


in any case, the "elite chickens" were good. haha. props to aqs! and the hotdogs, err though a lil more cooked that it could have been, were yummy too! yeah.. im sure we all liked 'em ya, bin aka hotdog-ic? :) and all of us appreciate ur help at the pit, and for being around, joel. also, credits go to sm for letting us use her place [and for booking the pit] for the event. and kudos to all the others who helped in one way or another to fill our tummies with the food! ((=

take care everyone!! ;)

got home just past midnight. post-shower.. some texting.. in the coolness of the night, just before falling asleep. it just felt peaceful..

Sunday 20 Nov 2005:

celebrated yanning's belated birthday yesterday night at marina bay's steamboat centre. as usual -- cold jokes and ultimate lameness~

well the food there was so-so. it was more of the fun we had that made the day. haha. and there were the different kinds of "shock".. the first one came about when mona dipped the first prawn into the hot soup to cook. apparently it was alive. so after a few seconds of cooking, some of the soup splashed out. and we "ahh!" [i think that's a rather cruel way to consume them] okay. that was just a minor scare. moments later the prawn actually jumped out of the pot! and it landed right in front of junqi, who was then beside me. both of us were uber shocked -- this time i think my yell prolonged for a few seconds. lol..

and so i was found standing behind a pillar about slightly >1 metre away from the others who proceeded to get busy with the cooking and stuff. with shang qian commenting on how afraid i was. hee =D

anyways, i think i shrieked like three times for the dinner. cos at times the oil [from the marinated chicken + margarine i guess] would just jump out of a sudden and usually we'll kenna. ouchh.. haha the gals were saying that "after a while u won't feel that much pain already". lol.

anyhow, it was a pretty fun time with ya all!! :) took some snapshots of the dinner too~
